EGS Vessels

EGS Marine Fleet

To better serve our global clients, EGS decided in 2005 to establish its own vessel management company and expand its fleet of survey vessels. EGS Marine now provides crew and manages all six vessels in the EGS fleet from its logistics and services center based in Cebu, Phillipines. Our vessels can operate across the whole marine spectrum, and survey from full ocean depth to the water’s edge. A full set of vessel specifications are available.

RV Geo Resolution

The RV Geo Resolution is one of the recent additions to the EGS fleet. Before her acquisition by EGS in 2014, the 68m long and 13m wide vessel was an US and later New Zealand Navy hydrographic survey vessel and as such is a comfortable an acoustically very quiet survey platform. During her conversion to a commercial survey vessel in Singapore, EGS have fitted the vessel with a dual frequency (24kHz/12kHz) Reson Seabat 7150-F full ocean depth multibeam system and a geophysical equipment suite capable to acquire high resolution analogue geophysical and in-situ geotechnical data to 2000m water depth.

RV Bold Explorer

The Bold Explorer is a 68m multi-purpose geophysical and geotechnical survey vessel. This former Stalwart class vessel was fully refitted as a state of the art survey vessel in 2020, by EGS in Singapore. With a permanently mobilised survey spread, including a range of geophysical and geotechnical equipment, the Bold Explorer is able deliver a wide range of survey services, from coastal waters to full ocean depth. With its long range and autonomy, the Bold Explorer is available for projects around the globe.

K.M. EGS Surveyor

The EGS Surveyor is a 47m multi-purpose geophysical and shallow geotechnical survey vessel. This survey vessel was fully refitted as a state of the art survey vessel in 2010 & 2020 by EGS in Singapore. With a permanently mobilised survey spread, including a range of geophysical and geotechnical equipment, the EGS Surveyor is able to deliver a wide range of survey services, from coastal to deep waters. With its medium range and autonomy, the EGS Surveyor is available for projects in Asia and the Middle East.

Cable Survey

RV EGS Ventus

The EGS Ventus is a 50m multi-purpose geophysical and geotechnical survey vessel. The ice class vessel was fully refitted as a survey vessel in 2008, with further refurbishment in 2013. With a permanently mobilised survey spread, including a range of geophysical and geotechnical equipment, the Ventus is able deliver a wide range of survey services, from coastal waters to ocean depth. Currently based in the USA and with an impressive project track record, the EGS Ventus is available for projects around the globe.

Ocean Invincible

The Ocean Invincible is a 66.4m DP2 multi-purpose geophysical and shallow geotechnical survey vessel. This former seismic research vessel was fully refitted as a state of the art survey vessel in 2021 by EGS in Norway. With the latest geophysical and geotechnical equipment permanently mobilised, the Ocean Invincible is able deliver a wide range of highly specialised survey services, from coastal waters to full ocean depth. With its long range and autonomy, the Ocean Invincible is available for projects around the globe.

OSV Geo Energy

The Geo Energy is a Taiwanese flagged 72m long ocean going DP2 geotechnical vessel built in 2004 and refitted in 2017 in Singapore. The Geo Energy is equipped with a single tower type construction with an overall height of 25m allowing the use of “range 2” (9.5Mtr) drill pipe. The Geo Energy is capable of carrying geotechnical surveys in 300m of water. The Geo Energy is equipped with a full set of A.P. Van den Berg CPT. The Geo Energy is permanently stationed in Taiwan to service the local offshore wind market.

EGS Echo

The EGS ECHO is a 15.3m purpose built aluminum survey catamaran launched in 2004. The vessel provides a fast, stable working platform for coastal survey operations, incorporating a moon pool, hydraulic crane and custom retractable transducer mounts for multi-beam work and USBL underwater positioning. The choice of main engines and specialist gearboxes provides the vessel with the ability to cruise comfortably and economically at up to 16 knots whilst also being able to run for extended periods at very low speed.

Tamoya

EGS Tamoya

The EGS Tamoya is a 12m purpose built aluminum survey catamaran launched in 2005. The vessel provides a fast, stable working platform for coastal survey operations, incorporating a moon pool, for multi-beam work and USBL underwater positioning and an A-Frame with hoisting winch (hydraulically powered) for towed systems deployment. The choice of main engines and specialist gearboxes provides the vessel with the ability to cruise comfortably and economically at up to 23 knots whilst also being able to run for extended periods at very low speed. • The vessel can complete survey in weather condition over 1m seas and 15 knots in exposed areas.
